Sardines
Sardines are simply a health food in a can: providing you with your weekly allowance of omega 3 and two times more calcium than milk. But there are many more benefits. Sardines also contain iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, copper and manganese.
Additionally, a can of sardines provides between 50% and 75% of your daily needs of selenium. Selenium is the new micronutrient that is of interest to all nutritionists, researchers and doctors.

Mackerel
Like sardines, mackerel is a very good provider of omega 3, calcium and selenium.
Mackerel is also a very rich source of vitamin B12 which plays a key role in the normal functioning of the brain and nervous system, and in the formation of blood |

Tuna
Tuna is a great daily food as it provides high quality protein and at the same time is a low fat food. Tuna is not as omega 3 rich as sardines, but remains a very good source with around 500 mg per 100g, which is your daily allowance.

Tuna is also rich in many minerals: a superb source for selenium, niacin, vitamin B6 and B12
Did you know that Ayam Brand only uses small species of tuna which have
no risk of mercury because they are not high in the food chain compared to bigger
tuna! Most importantly, this small species of Tuna is not in the list of endangered species. |
